So Herself thinks "well, you had to have the heat on for the cats," is a reasonable excuse for not paying the $477 electric/gas bill she left behind.The cats who she treated horribly and who were not the ones leaving seven or eight lights on literally 24/7, because she knew she wasn't going to pay the bill.

I'm so glad we're on budget billing here. They adjust it every 6 months and right now our electric is $64. Of course, that's for a 740 sq ft apartment.

I remember when we lived out in Axtell getting $500-600 electric bills in the summer because we'd have to run window air conditioners in the living room and one bedroom to survive.
