Ugh. I don't think the cortisone worked. The knee is back to being just as painful as always, and yes, I have stayed off it except for trips to the bathroom and to the feed the cats. It feels swollen but doesn't look that way. It's very weak and the pain level is pretty high.

I am losing my mind. I can't sweep or mop. I can't lift weights. I am stuck, and it's driving me bananas. Sigh.

I'm so sad to read that this is happening to you. Hope that somehow you can find a way to recover.

Thanks. I'm dying of boredom. Who ever knew that sweeping and mopping were so fun? It's killing me to sit on my damned ass.

My first cortisone shots were like a miracle. They made my knee and shoulder feel better than they had in 20 years.

I don't even bother with them anymore, because it only lasted about 5 weeks for the first one, and since then hasn't done much of anything.

I'm sorry you're having to deal with this.

Fucking LJ, again. Goddamit.

This is the VA. They probably did it wrong. I'm still waiting for them to call me back.

I had a similar experience with cortisone shots--the first time the results felt miraculous, but after that the dropoff was steep and swift, until they were no help at all. I'm just so sorry you're still suffering so!

When I had cortisone shots in my knees the pain was completely gone--for about twelve hours. Then it was as if nothing has been done at all. So I quit having them.
