Welllllllll....

drac emu
So they pulled a tooth, the result of teeth grinding. No drugs but I have
stuff left over from back. Great dentist-----tiny Asian woman who once
wanted to be archeologist. Told her how ancient Egyptians suffered from
horrible tooth ailments as a result of grinding their grain between stones
that crumbled and filled their bread with sand and chips that damaged their
teeth. Took longer to set up gas than to take tooth. Did not even get all
the way through "O Mio Bambino Caro", that's how fast she was.

I've been known to hum "On Moonlight Bay" during dental work. If I like the dentist.

Did she talk to you about getting a thing to put in your mouth at night so you can't grind your teeth?

Night guards - try before you buy!
You can get a cheaper version of those night guards the dentist will be happy to sell you (most likely at hyperinflated prices) from a good drugstore. To customise it to your teeth, you usually just put it in hot water for a bit, and then bite on it for a while. (The box will have directions.)

I used to use one for a while when riding, because sometimes on coming down from jumps, my teeth would jar together and chip. My dentist keeps wanting me to get one for clenching at night, but up until recently, I haven't had the kind of supplemental insurance that covers those sorts of things, hence why I investigated buying another one.

My nightguard has been a toothsaver (my front teeth are all flat and ground down!). I am so glad to hear that the dentistry went well and you are ok.

You found a dentist that still does gas? Excellent!

I love "O mio babbino caro."

Saw BUTTERFLY at the Met yesterday. I've seen this particular production 3 times, and now I'm able to hear the music both intellectually and emotionally. In other words, I only broke down twice.

Glad to hear the procedure went well and fast and that you had a tiny, kind unintimidating woman do it!
