Morgie is weird
Morgie has a fascination for plastic. He also has an unusally expressive tail. When he flirts with you, his tail curls back and forth while he cocks his head at you.

So he just stole something plastic from the old lock, and slunk off with it, looking incredibly guilty. He couldn't bear to wait to chew on his trophy, though, and after looking around with I swear embarrassment, he put it down to gloat. Then he slithered away, staying close to the ground, the very definition of a low profile. It was there that I caught him and took it away. Cat spit, yuck. Then he came over to me and flirted, head butting, head cocking, tail curling, and nose kisses. Oh, yeah, and flying clumps of fur.

He's probably cruising internet porn for...pussy.

My cat loved plastic, she used to lick it like crazy. She slept with me at night and if I wanted a full night's sleep, I'd have to ensure that there was no plastic that she could get to. Does Morgie lick plastic?

Fascination?

Hmmm..... squirrels like to lick a type of cable the phone company uses because the lead jacket on the cable gives up a type of salt in the rain the squirrels like. Unfortunately, it's very bad for them. (Eventually evolution will solve this, plus dogs, cats, and deer will evolve to NOT freeze in the headlights. Anyway....)

It's possible the plastic tastes good to him. Chances are it's either neutral or not good for him. You might want to keep an eye on the addict.

I've heard plastic tastes sweet to cats. One of mine will gnaw off pieces if I'm not careful, so I keep plastic bags locked away from her.

Miette also loves plastic. When I got my new, larger plastic dresser, she saw it and started licking it.

Yeah, I don't know either.

My parents' cat (a psycho persian named Coco) has a dangerous fascination with plastic bags. She likes to chew on them. I think it's like popping bubble-wrap is for humans. Any plastic bags (especially ziplock bags) left in reach will end up with dozens of little puncture marks.

Bwahaha! What a great cat. Wish I could meet him. Somehow I bet he and Simba would've been buddies.
