AFter reading [info]crevette's tale of the Man beast, I swear I saw what looked like a realty commercial with the guy intoning, "Have you been infiltrated by the man beast?"

To which one can only respond, "No, but I bet I know what's going to be the next Sci Fi made-for-TV movie."

Holy shit.

Weather update: it's hot and sticky and I really have no ambition at all. None. Zippo. And after reading this thread, all I can think is: He stuck his purple-headed ding-dong in her creamy hoo-hoo, and it was a taste explosion.

Don't read Linn Carter. At least I think that was him. Gor? Thor? Black haired barbarian dudes with prehistoric access to steroids and biceps bigger than my not-insubstantial heaving bosom. Heroines in metal bikinis, with blonde hair, blue eyes, and some kind of motor disorder which makes them tremble all the time. Ack.

Thor is Stan Lee. Blonde haired comic hero. Man Beast was sort of an ultimate superpowered wolfman.

A friend collects comics. The same friend once loaned me one of his Gor books (John Norman) and couldn't begin to understand why I didn't like it.

Are you RELAY challenging us to write a purple prose zombie/warewolf romance scene featuring purple prose. Because I'll do it, I swear I will.

Gah. That brought back bad memories of fanfic, particularly Pern fanfic. One asshole couldn't get through his head that, while this one Weyr encouraged and adored adult-appropriate stories, referring to a bronzerider's penis as "pulsing, red love-muscle" wasn't something to be done in a fanzine being mailed to some kids who were barely 16. Asshole left In A Huff, never to return, and the head editor promptly named a new bastard character after him.

"Pulsing red love-muscle" isn't the worst I've ever heard. But it was the most fun when I heard it.
